Outline of tandem printers
A tandem color printer has the independent process/writing for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black each and forms a toner image in single paper pass.
This style allows a simple structure and is suitable for high-speed printing, compact size and lower price; and thus, it is widely accepted for office use.
OKI Digital Imaging's LED printhead is most suited as a light source for the tandem-type printer, and can contribute to making the printer more compact and the printing faster.
